Why donuts?

Short answer? Because they’re delicious.

Long answer? Because there is nothing more satisfying after sending an 11a slitter crack or completing a 30-mile mountain biking loop or harvesting an 8-point elk than a donut made with organic ingredients from scratch. Trust us.

Our chef

Sasha has been cooking and baking since 3 years old — or so that’s what her parents say — 10 years old seems more realistic. After teaching herself the basics, Sasha started developing her own recipes and specifically tailoring them to the dietary restrictions of her family members. After studying Pastry Arts at Sullivan University in Louisville, KY, she began working in local bakeries around Indianapolis, IN. She handcrafted sourdough bread, cakes, French pastries, and donuts! It hasn’t long after graduating college that she followed her passions for rock climbing and outdoor recreation to Colorado. She continued baking at a sourdough bakery in Colorado Springs, CO, but decided to move further into the Rocky Mountains. Now, she happily resides in Summit County where she can be found most weekends climbing, backpacking, hiking, camping, snowboarding, snowshoeing, or exploring.

Our chief operating officer

Julia has several seemingly useless degrees, including a bachelor’s in international studies and a master’s in public affairs. During the day, she works for a nonprofit that organizes kids’ camps in the summer and outdoor education courses in the winter. In her free time, she is doing any of the following: podcasting, editing videos, hiking, camping, climbing, hunting, caving, reading, or cooking. Though she has years of experience baking paleo and autoimmune protocol-approved desserts, she will happily leave the donut baking to Sasha. Hopefully this time next year, Julia will be a 1L in law school.
